Born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 7, 1986. I grew up in Willington, Connecticut and attended Edwin O. Smith High School for three years. I had lots of friends and spent my time playing volleyball and reading, but realized that America was probably not the place for me. I spent my senior year of high school 2003-2004 abroad in Tampere, Finland as an exchange student, and have had the travel bug in me ever since. I returned to the United States and started college at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. With interests in linguistics, languages, global issues, and culture, I am currently dabbling in a range of courses such as Finnish, Arabic, Tibetan, Austrian Dialects and German, as well as linguistics, global politics, and creative writing classes, hoping to eventually end up with a linguistics degree. I am studying spring semester 2006 in Graz, Austria, and am using my four day weekends to see the world. |
